Add Uber CEO Travis Kalanick to the growing list of Twitter users who have had their accounts compromised.

Travis Kalanick, Founder and CEO of Uber, delivers a speech at the Institute of Directors Convention at the Royal Albert Hall, Central London, Britain, on October 3, 2014.

On Tuesday night, a team of hackers called OurMine posted a tweet on Kalanick's Twitter account, asking the CEO to visit their web site to secure his account. The tweet has since been deleted, and it appeared Kalanick regained access.

Kalanick's account is the latest targeted by OurMine, which has also compromised Twitter accounts of several other high-profile users, including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek.

Unlike most incidents involving compromised accounts where several tweets — often inappropriate in nature — are posted, the tweets from OurMine usually note the account has been hacked, and the user can visit their web site to secure themselves.

In a recent interview with Wired, an anonymous member of OurMine says it's warning people about staying secure on the Web.

"We are not blackhat hackers, we are just a security group…we are just trying to tell people that nobody is safe," the anonymous member told Wired.
