Bartolo Colon has averaged 195 innings per season over the past four years.

The Atlanta Braves will furnish their new ballpark with the oldest player in the majors as the franchise agreed to a deal with 43-year-old Bartolo Colon, a person with direct knowledge of the deal told USA TODAY Sports.

The person requested anonymity because the deal has not been announced and is pending a physical.

The Braves are slated to become the ninth club Colon has played for in a career that has spanned 19 seasons, the last three seasons with the New York Mets. Terms of the contract are for one-year, $12.5 million, first reported by Fox Sports.

Colon is the oldest active major leaguer and the Braves now have the two oldest starters in baseball. Atlanta inked knuckleballer R.A. Dickey, 42, to a one-year deal on Thursday.

Colon debuted in the majors in 1997, the same year the Braves began play at Tuner Field. He's been a workhouse on the mound, logging and average of 195 innings per season over the past four years and a 3.59 ERA.

He went 15-8 with a 3.43 ERA in 2016 and was chosen for the All-Star Game. On May 7, he became the oldest player in baseball history to hit his first career homer at San Diego.
