Charlie Wagner, Marshall Rushton and Peyton Mocco of West Allis Hale all captured Greater Metro Conference wrestling championships in the annual league meet Feb. 3.
Their titles helped boost the Huskies to second place with 164 points, trailing only GMC dual-meet champion and tournament favorite Menomonee Falls, which racked up 246 points.
West Allis Central tied Marquette for third place with 153 points and had one champion, Dustin Diebitz.
For Hale, Wagner won his title at 113 pounds with a 5-3 decision over Ryan Dineen of Marquette in his final match. Wagner also posted his 100th career victory on the day.
Rushton downed Falls' Noah Dakouras, 7-3, in his title match at 138 pounds, and Mocco pinned Dylan Klemstein of Sussex Hamilton in 3 minutes, 24 seconds in his final at 152 pounds.
For Central, Diebitz won the 182-pound crown with a 9-6 decision over Dylan Allen of Hale.
Allen's runner-up finish was the only one for the Huskies, and Edwin Jiminez Perez of Central also captured silver honors at 120 pounds.
Central also took five third places: Richard Talsky (126), Jake Schultz (170), Jeff LeFlore (195), Darrius Adkins (220) and Prentiss Johnson (heavyweight).
The Huskies collected five fourths: Conner Rodriguez (106), Alex Sino (120), Alex Loing (126), Brandon Baltz (132) and Bryan Jordan (145). Also taking fourth were Alex DeJesus (138) and Josef Gerhartz (160) of Central.
Coming in fifth were Austin Spitzer for Hale (170) and Zachary Meyer of Central (145).
Taking sixth for the Huskies were Juniel Vega (195), Justin Schroeder (220) and Dalton Wetley (heavyweight), and for Central, sixth places were taken by Carson Matysik (113), Devin Dietrich (132) and Devan Kotas (152).
Central and Hale will both compete in a WIAA Division 1 regional meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Hale.
