With 48 points in two games last week, West Allis Central's Nikita Conroy topped the 1,000-point mark for her career.
Conroy scored 29 points in a 76-62 loss to Sussex Hamilton on Jan. 24 and then added 29 in a 72-48 loss to Brookfield East on Jan. 27 to finish the week with 1,009 points.
Conroy, who averages 21.4 points, becomes the third area player to hit the 1,000-point mark this season, joining Sierra Grubor and Kevion Taylor of Whitnall.
Despite her efforts, however, the Bulldogs continue to struggle in the GMC, falling to 0-9 in the league. Central has been scoring more recently, however, topping the 45-point level in the past four contests.
Antoinette Powell, as she has been all season, was the second-leading scorer last week with 22 points against Hamilton and 11 against Brookfield East.
The Bulldogs take on Divine Savior Holy Angels at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at home.
