The season came to a halt for the West Allis Hale girls soccer team with a 4-1 loss to host Muskego in a WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal contest on June 9.

Goaltender Sam Held came up with 12 saves to keep things close, but the Huskies saw Muskego tally three times in the first half for a 3-1 advantage and then add one more in the second half.

The Warriors went on to top Kenosha Tremper in a shootout on June 11 and advance to the state tournament for the third straight season.

The Huskies went 1-6 in the Greater Metro Conference this season but played some perennial powers tough along the way.
