Ratka Karac won the shot put with 39 feet, ½ inch and DJ Wilson posted a pair of top-three finishes for the Greenfield track and field teams in the Woodland Conference Indoor Meet on April 7.
Karac's effort was 6 feet better than runnerup Taya Fleischman of Whitnall. Her Greenfield teammate, Jayda Craig, came in fourth in the shot put with 31-11 ½.
On the boys side, Wilson finished second in the 200-meter dash with 23.86 seconds and third in the 55 dash at 6.79 seconds.
Nat Schroeter placed sixth in the boys 1,600 run (4 minutes, 56.24 seconds) and the boys 4x200-meter squad captured sixth as well (1:38.62). Names were not available.
Securing sevenths were Arsenius Adoghame in the boys 55 dash (6.99) and Tosh Holmes in the girls 400 dash (1:07.29).
Taking eighth were Billy Pitroski in the boys 200 dash (24.29), Drew Kassel in the boys triple jump (37-2) and the boys 4x800 relay team (9:34.87).
The Greenfield boys team tallied 25 points for eighth place and the girls 17 points for 10th place.
The Hustlin' Hawks are now off until Friday, April 28, when they travel to Brookfield Central for an invitational.
