Despite its usual balanced attack, its strength all season, the Greenfield boys basketball team fell to Milwaukee Hamilton, 93-67, in WIAA Division 1 regional play on March 3.

Manny McDonald paced the Hustlin' Hawks with 17 points, including five 3-point field goals, and Eric Malone added 13 points, Jared Davis 11 points and Donnie Reasby and Rayvon Bartlett Jr. each 7 points.

That was not enough against the high-powered Hamilton team, which racked up 45 points in the first half for a 45-35 lead and then broke it open in the second with 48 more points.

For the season, the Hawks had five players averaging double digits, with Bartlett leading the way at 15 points per game, followed by Davis (12.6), McDonald (12.2), Reasby (11.3) and Malone (10.2).

Greenfield finished 13-10, a vast improvement from its three victories of the previous season, and was a competitive 10-6 in the Woodland Conference.
