The troubles kept going for the Greenfield baseball team last week, with the Hustlin' Hawks dropping all three of their Woodland Conference games.
Greenfield lost a two-day doubleheader to rival Whitnall, 4-0 on June 21 and 12-0 on June 20, managing just two hits in each contest.
In the 4-0 game, Zach Esenberg pitched well, allowing just four hits in seven innings, striking out four and walking four. Whitnall tallied three runs in the bottom of the third inning, all after two outs.
In the earlier game, the Hawks fell behind 5-0 after two innings and were taken out of the game by a seven-run Whitnall fifth inning.
Greenfield also lost to New Berlin West, 13-2, on June 23. Kyle Jablonski went 2-for-3 with one run batted in for the Hawks, who notched six hits.
The Hawks close regular-season Woodland Conference play at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 30, against Wauwatosa West at Breitlow Field.
They take on West Bend West at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 1, at West Bend's Regner Park and then compete in a wood bat tournament at South Milwaukee on Saturday, July 2, with games at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Greenfield plays in the Woodland Tournament on Tuesday, July 5, and Wednesday, July 6, with games at the Rock Sports Complex in Franklin and Breitlow Field.
