Joe Tilley picked up the victory in five innings, surrendering just one hit.

In the earlier contest, Ed Trensch was the winning pitcher, working seven innings and allowing two hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks.

Peters went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs; Tilley 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs; Reed 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI; and Andrew Mixon 1-for-4 with three runs scored. Reed and Mixon also stole bases.
