After helping lead St. Thomas More to its first state boys basketball championship since it joined the WIAA, Cavaliers star forward Sekou Konneh has made his decision regarding his future.

Konneh announced on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday night that he will attend DePaul University. He also had scholarship offers from Miami (Ohio), Indiana State, Louisville and Loyola-Chicago, but decided to join new coach Chris Holtmann and the Blue Demons. Konneh will join the likes of new transfers CJ Gunn (Indiana), Troy D'Amico (Southern Illinois) and NJ Benson (Missouri State) on next season's roster.

Holtmann was hired as DePaul's new head coach in March after being fired from the same role at Ohio State in the midst of his seventh season with the Buckeyes in February.

Konneh dominated for the Cavaliers on their way to the Division 3 state title, finishing his prep career with five straight double-doubles, including a 20-point, 14-rebound performance in the 65-54 victory over Lakeside Lutheran in the title game. He finished with 1,488 points and 966 rebounds at St. Thomas More.
