Abigail Stevens of West Allis Hale won a pair of events and Madison Williams of West Allis Central one at the Doug Johnson Invitational on March 24 at Central.

Stevens, a sophomore, claimed the high jump with 5 feet even and the long jump with 15 feet, 8¼ inches in the annual track and field meet, helping the Huskies finish third with 92 points behind Brookfield Central with 162 points and Brookfield East with 155½.

She continues on a hot start to the season, having won five events in the first two meets. Stevens captured the high jump, long jump and triple jump at the Reinhard Relays the previous week. At the Johnson meet, she took third in the triple jump with 32-7.

Williams, a sophomore, won the 55-meter dash in 7.7 seconds for the Bulldogs, who came in seventh with 29½ points.

The Huskies also had three runner-up finishes: the shot put with senior HaLena Lassiter (35-1½), the high jump with junior Maddie Lawson (4-8) and the long jump with junior Abby Arena (15-5½).

Senior Marlea Mastropolo finished third for Hale in the pole vault (8-0).

Taking fourth for the Huskies were sophomore Bella Slotke in the 3,200 meters (16 minutes, 21.34 seconds); the 4x240 relay squad of Alivia Duffay, Tracy Fischer, Christine Einberger and Ashley Haas (2:37.22); and the 3,200 relay unit of Slotke, Nicole Kleist, Monica Kusik and Faith Sether (13:47.9).

Coming in fifth for Hale were junior Rebecca Koshen in the 1,600 meters (6:59.42), senior Courtney Niemczyk in the pole vault (7-6), Arena in the triple jump (30-9½) and the 4x160 relay of Duffay, Camryn Racsek, Arena and Fischer (1:38.4).

Taking sixth were Hale junior Jade Liddell in the shot put (31-5) and Central's Williams in the pole vault (7-0).

Central sophomore Isabella Petite came in seventh in the 55 hurdles (10:45) and ran with Aniya Thomas, Mackenzie Gordon and Miluv Jones for seventh in the 4x160 relay (1:39.02).

Capturing eighth for Central were sophomore Julia Jarosz in the 800 meters (3:10.13) and sophomore Hailey Gorny in the pole vault (6-6).
