Sammy Miller won a pair of events to help the West Allis Hale boys track and field team win the Reinhard Relays at West Allis Central on March 17.

Miller prevailed in the 55-meter hurdles with 8.5 seconds and the high jump with 6 feet even for the Huskies, who tallied 94 points to win the early-season meet.

Other individual winners were Sam Kaster in the 1,600 meters at 5 minutes, 4.67 seconds; Peyton Mocco in the pole vault with 9 feet, 6 inches; and Zack Paddock in the triple jump with 38-9.

The 4x800 relay team of Brent McLure, Cam Christenson, Jack Wanner and Nick Lozano came in first with 9:30.46, and the distance medley relay of Jon Rau, Brad Glisczinski, Marshall Rushton and Kaster took first with 11:27.72.

West Allis Central's Jeff LeFlore claimed the shot put with 43-5, the only first for the Bulldogs, who were sixth with 33 points.

Abigail Stevens of Hale snared three events, the high jump with 5-2, the long jump at 16-4 and the triple jump with 32-3, in the girls meet.

Also for Hale, HaLena Lassiter captured the shot put with 34-0 and Cassidy Niemczyk the pole vault with 8-0. The Huskies were second with 78 points.

The West Allis Central girls scored 22 points for sixth place but did not have any first-place entrants.
