Due Date podcast: An uncensored story of pregnant life

Ashley May, USA TODAY
Ashley May

A few months ago, I stepped into a new job, moved into a new home — and found out I was pregnant with my first child.

In my new position at USA TODAY, I tell stories — silly, serious and everything in between. Shortly after I started working at the newsroom, I pitched the idea of a pregnancy podcast to our audio team and Due Date was born. Since June, I've been recording moments from my pregnancy to make sense of my new-found exhaustion and growing tummy.

Let me preface this by saying, I’ve never been a part of a podcast or an avid podcast listener. So, I’m telling my story the best way I know how: Honestly (weird body issues included).

In the first episode of Due Date, you’ll learn a little more about me, my family and my uncensored journey through pregnancy. Check back next Friday to learn more about how my husband is handling pregnancy.

Episode 1: Forming A Village

Episodes of Due Date release every Friday until our baby debuts.
