WEST ALLIS — An official cause of death will not be known for six to eight weeks for Megan Frohmader, 23, of Lake Mills, who was found passed out in a car on  West Greenfield Avenue in West Allis with a male companion.

The 36-year-old Fort Atkinson man survived. The two were parked in front of Redi-Quick Drycleaners, 9508 W. Greenfield Ave., for about 40 minutes when an employee of the business called police because the two didn't seem to be acting normally, according to the West Allis police investigation.

Paramedics arrived shortly after noon on Feb. 27 and found both passed out. They administered Narcan, a drug that has saved many lives of people have have overdosed on certain kinds of drugs. The man responded and was taken to a local hospital.

Frohmader did not respond. She was given several rounds of epinephrine, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiners report, but after 25 minutes of treatment, she was pronounced dead. Police did not disclose the name of the man.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office is reviewing potential charges against the man. Frohmader had no criminal history.
