GREENFIELD - South Root River Parkway is closed from Layton Avenue to Forest Home Avenue, due to flooding in the roadway. 

As of 2:30 Wednesday, July 12, the parkway is still closed.

The Greenfield Police Department said on their Facebook page around 11 a.m. that there is at least eight inches of moving water on the road. 

The department also warned against going around the barriers on the road. 

According to The Weather Channel's website, more thunderstorms, and more rain, are anticipated later Wednesday evening.
