Greenfield - Southbound Highway 100 reopened about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday after being closed since about 5:30 a.m. following a semitrailor and car crash at Morgan Avenue.

The driver of the car was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital with serious injuries by the West Allis Fire Department. His condition was not known as of 10:20 a.m. Tuesday. Police were not releasing the identities of the drivers.

According to Greenfield police, the semi was southbound on Highway 100 and the car eastbound on Morgan Avenue. The investigation into the crash continued Tuesday. The driver of the truck was not hurt.

Southbound Highway 100 was closed between Oklahoma and Morgan avenues.
