Area residents can donate new handmade or store-bought hats, scarves or gloves to keep local kids warm this winter, at one of 16 TCF Bank branches, including the Greenfield and West Milwaukee location, or at Milwaukee Public Schools Central Services, anytime through Jan. 6.

This is the second consecutive year that TCF and MPS have partnered to host the MPS Mitten Tree Drive, in order to distribute donated items to schools. Last year, the program provided warm winter gear to 4,000 local students in need.

The Greenfield TCF Bank branch is located at 4375 S. 76th St, and the West Milwaukee branch is located at 1441 Miller Park Way.

MPS Central Services, 5225 W. Vliet St, Milwaukee, is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
