An armed robbery was reported at Walgreens, 4688 S. 108th St., at about 9:35 p.m. Aug. 4. The man implied he had a weapon, threatened employees and demanded all the money out of the cash register. The suspect, described as a six-foot-tall, 260-pound black male in his mid-50s, got away with less than $700. He was last seen walking north from the business.
Police responded to a carjacking at Jens Beverage Center, 4312 W. Howard Ave., at 7:35 p.m. Aug. 6. The offender, described as a slender black male, pointed a handgun at a woman and stole her 2014 black Nissan Versa. No other information was available at the time of the report.
Two handguns were reported stolen out of a garage in the 9500 block of West Cold Spring Road at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 6. The theft occurred sometime during the past month.
A garage door opener that was stolen from an unlocked vehicle was used to enter a garage in the 3900 block of West Howard Avenue between the late evening hours of Aug. 5 and the morning of Aug. 6. Nothing was reported missing from the garage, and the opener was found lying in the grass a few houses away.
About $50 and wireless earbuds were stolen from a vehicle in the 7700 block of West Allerton Avenue between the late evening hours of July 30 and 8:30 a.m. July 31.
An LG cell phone was reported stolen from a patron while she was working out at Xperience Fitness, 6251 S. 27th St., at 12:20 p.m. July 31.
Police responded to the 4600 block of West Midland Drive after a resident saw three people get out of a dark SUV and steal his 2012 Chevy Tahoe at about 2:15 a.m. Aug. 2. Police located the SUV, a black Mitsubishi Outlander, and chased it into Milwaukee where the pursuit was terminated near 46th and Wright Street. The Chevy Tahoe was tracked to 1700 block of South 15th Street in Milwaukee via Onstar, where it was found and returned to its owner.
A 2015 Chrysler 200 was stolen from a residence in the 9000 block of West Allerton Avenue between the late evening hours of Aug. 3 and 6 a.m. Aug. 4. The vehicle was stolen with the keys that were left inside another unlocked vehicle at the residence.
A white 2013 Honda Accord parked at the basketball court at Greenfield Middle School, 3200 W. Barnard Ave., was stolen by a younger black male with two braids at about 7:05 p.m. Aug. 4. The vehicle was last seen traveling north on South 35th Street.
A gray Mongoose bicycle with black rims and fat tires was reported stolen in the 7300 block of West Southridge Drive at 9:25 p.m. Aug. 5.
A red 1999 Dodge Caravan that was stolen from the 6100 block of South 31st Street was used to commit several vehicle break-ins in Franklin between the evening hours of Aug. 5 and 3 a.m. Aug. 6. The van was abandoned in Oak Creek, where it was recovered by police
Sunglasses, a 30-pack of Budweiser beer and a 30-pack of Pabst beer were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3600 block of West Howard Avenue at 9:15 a.m. Aug. 6.
A folding knife and a fidget spinner were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3600 block of West Howard Avenue at 9:40 a.m. Aug. 6.
About $5 in loose change and a cell phone were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4600 block of West Midland Drive at 12:35 p.m. Aug. 6.
A purse containing a debit card was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 5700 block of West Allerton Avenue between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 6.
A boy was cited for stealing his friend’s bicycle at Meijer, 5900 W. Layton Ave., at 4:05 p.m. Aug. 6.
A man was taken into custody for domestic violence/disorderly conduct after several 911 callers reported a man was beating up a female in an apartment in the 4200 block of South Ravinia Drive at 11:10 p.m. Aug. 1. The woman was also taken into custody for having a warrant with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.
A man was taken into custody for OWI, possession of cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop in the 4300 block of South 27th Street at 3 a.m. Aug. 1. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.11, and the driver also allegedly admitted doing cocaine prior to driving.
A man was taken to the hospital after his bicycle struck a pole on South 60th Street and West Layton Avenue at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 1.
A woman who was found passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle on South 35th Street and West Howard Avenue was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she threatened a police officer and tried to hit him at about 2:50 a.m. July 31. She was cited for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Police went to the 4000 block of South 43rd Street after a caller reported five intoxicated people were jumping on vehicles at about 7:40 p.m. July 31. Police took two woman and one male into custody and cited them for possession of marijuana.
