Robbery

Two men shoplifted two bottles of tequila at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., and threatened employees with a handgun while leaving the store at 3:50 p.m. Dec. 22. When confronted, one of the men displayed a black, semiautomatic handgun in his waistband and shouted profanities at the security employee. The men, described as two black males, one in his 20s wearing a black jacket and black hat and the other a light-skinned black male or dark-skinned Hispanic male with a neck tattoo, were accompanied by a heavier-set, five-foot, eight-inch-tall white female with black hair pulled back in a ponytail.

Burglary

Someone forced their way into a home in the 3500 block of South 44th Street at about 7 a.m. Dec. 19. The side door was forced open and the kitchen lights were turned on, but nothing was reported stolen.

Police went to a home in the 10000 block of West Meadow Drive after the resident called 911 to report a short man wearing black boots and a snowsuit just broke into his home through a basement window at 10:05 p.m. Dec. 24. The resident told police the intruder, who appeared intoxicated, took off running after the resident hit him with a level. Police found at Walmart and took him into custody.

Theft

A heavyset white male with a beard and a heavyset white female wearing glasses and a blue headband stole an Uromastyx (spiny-tailed) lizard from the reptile section at Pet World Warehouse Outlet, 5415 S. 27th St., at 6:20 p.m. Dec. 18.

A male employee was taken into custody after he allegedly admitted stealing $1,700 of merchandise from At Home, 4601 S. 27th St., at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 20.

Three extension cords, a cord reel and a cord splitter used for outdoor Christmas decorations were stolen from a home in the 4500 block of West Anthony Drive between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 20 and 5:30 a.m. Dec. 21. The items are valued at $200.

Assault

A 16-year-old girl was cited for battery and disorderly conduct for fighting with another student and a staff member at Greenfield High School, 4800 S. 60th St., at 12:40 p.m. Dec. 21.

A man was taken into custody for domestic violence/battery and strangulation for punching, hitting, kicking and choking his girlfriend in the 3600 block of South Rivershire Drive at about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 22.

OWI

A woman was taken into custody for OWI after a two-vehicle collision on South 68th Street and West Cold Spring Road at 12:10 p.m. Dec. 22.

A woman was taken into custody for OWI after she drove her vehicle into a snowbank at Goldcoast Subs, 4263 W. Layton Ave., at 12:15 a.m. Dec. 23.

Vandalism

The passenger side window of a vehicle was reported broken in the 3400 block of West Colony Drive at 11:30 p.m. Dec. 25.

Other

A man was taken into custody for threatening employees in the electronics department at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., and then refused to leave at about 10:25 a.m. Dec. 23. Police took him into custody, cited him for disorderly conduct, and trespassed him from all Walmart stores.

A man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct/false imprisonment for threatening the clerks inside Mobil Gas, 5909 S. 27th St., and yelling for the police to come at 8:45 p.m. Dec. 25. The man allegedly stated he had two guns but never showed any weapons.
