A burglary was reported at a home in the 11300 block of West Whitaker Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and 6 a.m. Dec. 7. It was unknown what was stolen because the police report was not finished.
A knife, fishing items, house keys, and some change were stolen out of an unlocked garage in the 4400 block of South 114th Street between the evening of Dec. 6 and the morning of Dec. 7.
Someone stole a purse and a garage door opener out of an unlocked vehicle in the 4400 block of South 113th Street, and then used the opener to enter the garage between the evening of Dec. 6 and morning of Dec. 7.
A knife was stolen out of a vehicle that was parked inside a garage in 4500 block of South 113th Street at 8:35 a.m. Dec. 7. The door to the garage was left unlocked.
A leaf blower, alcohol, golf clubs and softball equipment was stolen out of a garage in the 4500 block of South 113th Street between the late evening hours of Dec. 6 and 8 a.m. Dec. 7.
Jewelry was stolen from a locked residence in the 4400 block of South 114th Street between 8 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. Dec. 8. The patio door window was smashed out.
Two males were taken into custody for trying to steal a 2001 Chevy Tahoe in the 4000 block of South 35th Street at 12:55 a.m. Dec. 5. The vehicle owner confronted the thieves and started fighting with them before police arrived. They were cited for prowling and for theft after police discovered they stole a debit card and GPS system out of the vehicle.
A pistol in a hard plastic case was reported stolen from a residence in the 10100 block of West Cold Spring Road between 11 p.m. Dec. 4 and 7 a.m. Dec. 6.
A single axle, enclosed six-foot by 12-foot trailer was reported stolen from Broken Windows Inc., 3300 W. Loomis Road, at 7:05 a.m. Dec. 6.
Two delivered packages, one containing clothing and the other containing oils, were reported stolen from outside an apartment in the 5000 block of South Greenbrook Terrace at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 6.
Police pursued a gray SUV that was involved in a shoplifting incident at Loomis Food and Beverage, 4415 W. Loomis Road, at 7:10 p.m. Dec. 6. The vehicle crashed on 22nd Street and Greenfield Avenue in Milwaukee, and police took a man and woman into custody. Both are facing state charges of shoplifting and were taken to jail.
A delivered package containing $100 worth of merchandise was stolen from outside a residence in the 9000 block of West Howard Avenue between 9 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Dec. 6.
Four captain’s chairs were reported stolen out of a conversion van at Gordie Boucher Nissan, 4141 S. 108th St., at 8:20 a.m. Dec. 7.
A ZTF Avid brand cell phone was stolen at ATI Physical Therapy, 4861 S, 27th St., between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 7.
A 1998 white Chevy Astro van was reported stolen off the lot at Milwaukee Auto Works, 3320 W. Howard Ave., at 2:55 p.m. Dec. 7.

A 2012 Ford F150 was reported stolen in the 3700 block of South 33rd Street at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 10. The suspects are described as two white males and one black male in their early 20s driving a silver or white late model Toyota Camry.
A man was cited for OWI and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on West Loomis Road and South Miner Street at 9:45 p.m. Dec. 7. He was also taken into custody for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapons after police found a loaded gun in his possession while he was under the influence of drugs. He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for a blood draw and released.
A window was broken out on a vehicle in the 3600 block of South 33rd Street between the late evening hours of Dec. 9 and 7:45 a.m. Dec. 10.
Four windows were smashed on a 2016 Ford Escape in the 3600 block of South 32nd Street between the evening of Dec. 9 and the morning of Dec. 10.
Emergency personnel responded to a report that someone fired a flare gun inside a home in the 3500 block of South 123rd Street at 2:05 p.m. Dec. 5. The caller told police they pulled the trigger on the gun, not thinking it was loaded. The flare put a hole in the ceiling but only created smoke, no fire. They were cited for negligent handling of burning materials.
Police received a report that three turkeys were in the roadway on South 108th Street and West Layton Avenue and were causing traffic backups at 9:15 a.m. Dec. 6. When police arrived the turkeys were out of the roadway and not causing any problems.
A male student was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct for making threats towards his school and one teacher at Greenfield Middle School, 3200 W. Barnard Ave., at 12:35 p.m. Dec. 7.
