Burglary

An air compressor and a speaker were stolen out of a garage in the 3600 block of South 53rd Street between Nov. 26 and Nov. 28.

A TV, a change jar, headphones and multiple pieces of jewelry were stolen out of a locked residence in the 4800 block of West Anthony Drive between 2 and 5 p.m. and Nov. 29. The front door was kicked in.

A large amount of jewelry was stolen out of a locked residence in the 4500 block of South River Ridge Boulevard between 10 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Dec. 1. The front door of the residence was forced open.

Someone kicked open a garage service door during an attempted burglary at a residence in the 3200 block of West Lynndale Avenue between 7 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4 a.m. Dec. 4. Nothing was reported missing from inside the garage.

Theft

A man was taken into custody for shoplifting after he walked into Target, 4777 S. 27th St., grabbed a suitcase out of the luggage department and started filling it up with merchandise at 11:55 a.m. Nov. 28. The man received multiple citations after police discovered the man shoplifted at Target on Nov. 21, 22 and 26.

A man was taken into custody for stealing clothing, a cell phone and a timer out of his neighbor’s unlocked vehicle in the 11100 block of West Armour Avenue at about 11 a.m. Nov. 29. Police also discovered he had a probation/parole warrant and he was taken to jail.

A cell phone and laptop computer were reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 4900 block of South 76th Street at 12:45 p.m. Nov. 29.

A laptop computer, a flashlight, headphones and keys were stolen out of a locked truck at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 4765 S. 76th St., between 6:15 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29. The rear driver’s side window was smashed out.

A delivered package containing a Tablet was stolen off a porch in the 4600 block of South 46th Street on Nov. 28.

A “Happy Holidays” Christmas decoration was stolen from a residence in the 6100 block of West Stonehedge Drive between the evening hours of Nov 30 and 4 p.m. Dec. 1.

Multiple delivered packages were reported stolen off the doorstep in the 6100 block of South 42nd Street at 9:35 p.m. Dec. 1.

A Christmas laser light was stolen from a residence in the 3200 block of South 45th Street between 7 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2.

A lock, storage bins and a TV stand were reported stolen out of a locked storage locker in the 4000 block of South 65th Street at 2 p.m. Dec. 4.

Extension cords were reported stolen out of a yard in the 4400 block of West Anthony Drive at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4.

OWI

A man was taken into custody for second offense OWI after he was found passed out in his vehicle in the drive-thru at McDonald’s 5040 S. 76th St., at about 3 a.m. Dec. 3. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.17.

Vandalism

Someone used a brick and a grill to break out four windows at the back of a residence in the 3500 block of South 34th Street at about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 4.

Other

A boy was taken into custody and cited for disorderly conduct after he allegedly stated he had explosives in his backpack at Whitnall High School, 5025 S. 116th St., at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 1. His backpack was checked and no explosives were found.

A woman was taken into custody for domestic violence after she armed herself with a knife and threatened to kill her fiance in the 9000 block of West Howard Avenue at about 10 p.m. Dec. 2.

A male was taken into custody when police found he had a stolen handgun in his possession during a traffic stop in the 2700 block of southbound I-894 at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 4. Two other passengers in the vehicle were also taken into custody for probation and parole violations and were taken to jail.

Greenfield police assisted the fire department with five rescue calls and two fire calls between Nov 28 and Dec. 5.
