1. A boy’s bicycle was reported stolen out of a garage in the 3000 block of West College Avenue at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 22.

2. A bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 3000 block of West College Avenue between 2 p.m. Aug. 20 and 3:20 p.m. Aug. 22.

3. A TV and a bottle of vodka were reported stolen from a garage in the 4300 block of South 43rd Street at 1 p.m. Aug. 24.

4. Someone broke into Hayat Pharmacy, 2931 S. 27th St., ransacked the business in an attempt to steal narcotic cough medicine at about 12:15 a.m. Aug. 25. According to police, this incident is connected a string of burglaries at Hayat Pharamacies in Milwaukee and Greenfield, where the suspects have been stealing promethazine with codeine, a highly addictive cough medicine.


5. A purse was containing a cell phone, vehicle keys, personal identification, a debit card and $140 was stolen out of a shopping cart at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., at 2:20 p.m. Aug. 22. The theft was captured on surveillance video.

6. A customer’s purse was reported stolen at USA Family Thrift, 4470 S. 108th St., at 2:55 p.m. Aug. 22.

7. Three males shoplifted two iPhones, two iPads and Samsung cell phones, valued at about $3,500, at T-Mobil, 4848 S. 76th St., at 6:15 p.m. Aug. 24. According to an employee the suspects, described as three black males in their late teens or early 20s, possibly fled the area in a blue van with dark tinted windows.

8. A 2016 black Nissan Maxima was stolen at Rosen Nissan, 5505 S. 27th St., between Aug. 18 and 7:20 a.m. Aug. 25.

9. A woman’s wallet was stolen off her table while she was sitting outside Panera Bread, 7840 W. Layton Ave., at 2:10 p.m. Aug. 25. The suspect, described only as a Hispanic female, fled the lot in dark blue four-door vehicle that was last seen traveling west on Layton Avenue.

10. A customer’s black Samsung Galaxy cell phone was reported stolen off a checkout counter at TJ Maxx, 4200 S. 76th St., at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 25.

11. A health insurance card, a debit card and a Wisconsin ID card were reported stolen out of a woman’s purse while the victim and her husband were shopping at a rummage sale in the 5600 block of South 42nd Street at 5:50 p.m. Aug. 26. The purse was inside the victim’s car when the theft occurred.

12. A 26-inch blue and silver Trek bicycle was reported stolen out of a garage in the 4500 block of West Bottsford Avenue at 3 p.m. Aug. 27. The victim told police the bicycle was stolen on Aug. 13.

13. Two people shoplifted multiple bottles of liquor at Loomis Food & Beverage, 4415 W. Loomis Road, at 4 p.m. Aug. 27. About 10 minutes later the same suspects stole two bottles of Hennessy and two bottles of Remy Martin at Jens Beverage Center, 4312 W. Howard Ave. In both cases the suspects, described as a 20-year-old black male with long dreadlocks and a 30-year-old white female, fled the lot in a silver SUV which was driven by a black male. Police later discovered the vehicle they were driving was reported stolen out of Milwaukee.

14. A woman was taken into custody and cited for shoplifting CDs, records and DVDs at Half Price Books, 5032 S. 74th St., and then selling them next door at the Exclusive Company at 5:05 p.m. Aug. 27.

15. A guinea pig was reported stolen at Pet World Warehouse, 5415 S. 27th St., at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 27.


16. Police went to the area of South 108th Street and West Morgan Avenue for a report that a male wearing a clown mask and wearing all black clothing was seen driving recklessly on a moped at about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 27. Police searched the area but did not find any clowns driving mopeds.

17. A woman was taken into custody in the 11500 block of West Cold Spring Road after she allegedly called a man and asked him to see if he knew anyone she could hire to kill her son’s girlfriend at about 8:15 p.m. Aug. 28. She was cited for disorderly conduct and released.
