Gordo's Bubble Waffles, a bubble tea and ice cream shop, is expanding to a second location on the Marquette University campus.

The new spot will be at 1633 W. Wells St. and will be soft-opening soon, Gordo's announced on its Facebook page. The shop offers a menu full of decidedly decadent sweets, like mini-pancakes, bubble waffles and ice cream by the scoop. On each, numerous toppings are available, from cereals to candy.

Gordo's also offers a range of drinks, like milkshakes, coffee and tea. Food prices run from $5 for bubble waffle sticks, $10 for mini pancakes and $12 for bubble waffles, with upcharges for toppings.

The new shop will fill the former The Dogg Haus restaurant space, which closed in April 2021 after 15 years. Gordo's new location will join its other in the Bay View neighborhood, at 2301 S. Howell Ave., that opened in July 2022. The Howell Avenue shop was formerly home to Gordo Burger, which opened during the COVID-19 pandemic in January 2021.

Hours for the Marquette shop weren't listed on the announcement. The Howell Avenue shop is open seven days a week from 2 p.m. to midnight.
