Who's winning Westeros? Cersei stays on top of 'Game of Thrones'

Spoiler alert! The following contains spoilers from Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 3, “The Queen's Justice.”

The definition of winning is growing murkier as we get further into Season 7 of Game of Thrones -- if that's possible. How much does the Iron Throne mean when there are White Walkers on the prowl? Does killing your enemy count as a victory if they get the last word? (RIP our spirit animal Olenna Tyrell.)

Nevertheless, those left are still playing the game, even after Jon Snow's squabbling children burn.

We ranked the top 10 characters from Sunday's episode based on how well they're winning the battle for Westeros, and their own survival. See our rankings from Episode 2 here, and the premiere here.

1. Cersei Lannister

Cersei is on top again this week -- the only clear victor thanks to her near singular focus on her depraved plan. She moved the goal post again on Euron, refusing to marry him until the war is won, like a demented version of a medieval challenge of gallantry. Her only distraction is her renewed incestuous relationship with Jaime though she's made clear she doesn't care about the rumor mill, and whole thing will likely be Jaime's undoing rather than Cersei's.

2. Jon Snow

Does this 'Game of Thrones' photo hint at a meeting between Jon Snow (Kit Harington), to the right of Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), and Daenerys Targaryen in Sunday's episode?

He may technically not be allowed to leave Dragonstone, but he's on his way to accomplishing the main purpose for his visit: mining that massive store of Dragon Glass. It'd be nice if Dany openly believed his warning about the Night King, but she did seem to pick up on that whole dying and being brought back to life thing.

3. Sansa Stark

The harsh reminder of her wedding night with Ramsay Bolton may have been unnecessary, but at least Bran's back in Winterfell. She's getting her house in order, storing provisions as winter finally comes. And she gets one more lesson in cynicism from Littlefinger, one that may help her plan for unexpected challenges.

4. Euron Greyjoy

Euron parades Yara, Ellaria and Tyene through the streets of King's Landing (Episode 3).

Euron is living his best life right now: Taking his cousin Yara hostage and walking her through the streets on a leash, receiving a hero's welcome, burning more opponents' ships, generally living that emo pirate highlife. Doubt it will last but YOLO.

5. Daenerys Targaryen

Daenerys and Varys confer (Episode 3).

Another episode, another battle lost for the Mother of Dragons. Grey Worm took Casterly Rock, but it looks like he'll be staying there after Euron burned his ships and Jaime made the more strategic decision to attack High Garden. So much for that food supply Dany and Tyrion were counting on. But she's about to become besties with Jon Snow (we just know it), and things may turn around.

6. Jorah Mormont

Sam operates on Jorah (Episode 2).

Jorah is back and scale free! He may have had the worst week in Westeros last week as Sam literally shaved off his skin but things are finally looking up.

7. Samwell Tarly

Samwell Tarly

Sam saved a man's life and all he got was a tee-shirt writing assignment. Though he's likely to find some helpful info in those deteriorating scrolls.

8. Tyrion Lannister

Missendei, Tyrion, Jon and Davos see a dragon fly by (Episode 3).

Someone has to be a little anxious about job security at this point. So far, Tyrion has been wrong in his strategic planning and cost Dany almost her entire fleet, her food supply and the lives of several allies. He needs a Hail Mary -- and to get Bronn back on his side (sell-swords, amiright?).

9. Olenna Tyrell

Olenna Tyrell's final moments (Episode 3).

The Queen of Thorns should technically be off the list considering she died in this episode. But she was the best up until the end, winning the scene with Jaime with a knowledge-bomb that cut him deep, despite the fact that it should have been his moment after sacking her castle and handing her a glass of poison-muddled wine. But the O.G. had been sitting on the truth about Joffrey's death for some time, and used it to get one last bit of revenge.

10. Jaime Lannister

Euron and Jaime talk (Episode 3).

It may seem like Jaime won the day -- but all signs point to an impending, epic fall. Lady Olenna not-so-subtly voiced what we've all been thinking: Cersei is a madwoman on a kamikaze mission, and Jaime, along with every other man doing her bidding, is in serious jeopardy. Too bad Jaime's love prevents him from seeing it. Will he realize before she burns the entire kingdom to the ground in a final mic drop? Doubtful.
