Whether you thought Julia Roberts' wig in Mother's Day looked like she was the villain in a young adult dystopian adaptation or that it was something found sitting in the back of her closet for 17 years, you'd be eerily accurate on the latter.

The wig that Roberts wears in Garry Marshall-helmed ensemble movie is a (likely unintentional) callback to one of Roberts' most iconic movies: Notting Hill. And according to People, it's the exact same strawberry blonde wig her character wore in the movie-within-a-movie, Helix, where she played an astronaut.

Unfortunately, there was no ultimate motive for the Notting Hill callback, because according to Roberts, very little thought was put into her hair.

"I wish I could’ve put that much thought into it," Roberts told People at the film's Los Angeles premiere. "It was kind of, like, quick putting it together.”

Oh well, it won't stop us from combing through Notting Hill tonight to spot any more re-used props. Because reasons.

Mother's Day hits theaters April 29.
