See Tom Hiddleston shimmy like Hank Williams

As the star of biopic I Saw the Light, Tom Hiddleston (yes, the evil Loki) transforms into Hank Williams by taking on the country icon's Southern drawl, singing, guitar skills and also his "shimmy," as Hiddleston describes it.

Hiddleston demonstrated the latter to USA TODAY Tuesday night (in the video above) at the I Saw the Light premiere in Los Angeles. He also explained why the move-- which Williams employed onstage-- looks the way it does.

"Hank clearly had this distinctive rhythm. And he had terrible back problems, so when he was hunched over his guitar rocking out... the rhythm would go into his knees. So his knees would start to sway and wobble, and his shoulders would go."

Hiddleston says that it looks like "this kind of snaky thing" onstage. Hiddleston fans already love his moves, so we're guessing they'll adore the I Saw the Light dance.

As for recreating Williams' flirty singing face, that part came more naturally to the actor who's shown performing in a number of close-up shots in the movie.
