What it’s about: The Bodine family ranch/resort in Montana is threatened by murder and revelations about a missing relative.

3. Al Franken, Giant of the Senate by Al Franken (Twelve, non-fiction, on sale May 30)

What it’s about: Memoir traces Franken’s improbable journey from Saturday Night Live (remember Stuart Smalley?) to the Senate floor.

4. Nighthawk by Clive Cussler and Graham Brown (Putnam, fiction, on sale May 30)

The buzz: The Pharaoh’s Secret, the last book in the series, hit No. 8 on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list.

5. Trophy Son by Douglas Brunt (St. Martin’s Press, fiction, on sale May 30)

What it’s about: A tennis prodigy rises to the heights of the pro game, but pays a price in Brunt’s third novel.

The buzz: Brunt has been making the beautiful people scene lately with his wife, Megyn Kelly (including the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art).
